Can Press-on Nails be reused?

Yes, Nail22 press-on nails can be reused if you apply with our nail glue gels (available for purchase) or sticky tabs (free and send along with nail set).

To remove the press-ons, soak them in a solution of warm water, soap, and/or oil for 10-15 minutes. Then, gently slide them off with a cuticle stick.

Scrape off the nail glue/tabs underneath
them. That’s it.

How Press-on Nails work?

There are 3 ways to apply press-ons.

  1. Sticky Tabs- included in our prep kit. Usually, last 1-2 weeks
  2. Glue Gels- available for purchase here. Usually, last 2-3 weeks and will need UV lamp
  3. Glue- not recommended as it hurts nail beds

Steps for sticky tabs:

  1. Trim, file and buff your nails.
  2. Clean and dry with alcohol wipes.
  3. Wrap nails bed around with sticky tabs to find the right size.
  4. Place sticky tab 1mm above cuticle.
  5. Press to force any bubble out.
  6. Remove film on tab.
  7. Hold tip of press-on at a 45-degree angle. Place it on the edge of sticky tab (1mm above cuticle).
  8. Push to cuticle.
  9. Hold for 20 seconds.
  10. Done. 

 

How long do Press-on Nails last?

Press-ons will typically last for around 1 week but if following the steps and tips and take care of your nails, they could stay for 2-3 weeks.

Will Press-on Nails fall off in shower?

After applying press-on nails, it's crucial to keep your fingers stay dry for a minimum of 3 hours. Submerging your press-on nails in water may weaken the adhesive bonds, reducing the longevity of your manicure significantly.

 

What should be aware after doing Press-ons?

  • Wait for a minimum of 3 hours before washing your hands.
  • Try to limit long periods of time in water.
  • Avoid peeling of the press-ons without softening the glue gel with warm water to prevent harm to your natural nails.

If you are using our glue gel, ensure that the gel is completely dry with a UV lamp.

 

What Press-On Nails last the longest?

Our nails last 2-3 weeks requiring just 10 mins of application. We recommend sticky tabs we provided along with nail set or glue gel.

Glue is not recommended as it hurts nail beds.
